Leo Messi Ballon d’Or F50 Revealed

Yesterday you guys saw the sneak peak of Lionel Messi’s new custom golden boots. Well today I have full pictures and some more detail on them.

The boots are only available for Lionel, so they won’t be available for public release. BUT, you are able to make a replica version of the color way on http://www.miadidas.com/, just without some of the written achievements that cover the boot. First let’s start off with the fact that these are the leather versions of the boot, which is preferred Leo. Yesterday, I brought up the question on whether the sole plate would be white, black or matching gold. As you can see they are white. Overall, the colorscheme looks a lot like the gold color way Messi wore in the first release of the adizero. As for the customization, “FIFA Ballon d’Or player of the year” is written on the inner side of the boot, clearly for the award these boots are created for. On the other foot, “Gracias A Todos” is written because he was very thankful to all of his fans when he won it this year. On the outer side of the boots, each of the three adidas stripes have one of the years he has won this award (2009, 2010, 2011). Messi has recently been given a logo that goes along with all his adidas gear, much like David Beckham and his signature free kick taker logo. This new logo that Messi has been sporting on his boots is also on these boots. And lastly, the heel features an Argentine flag.

If you are looking forward to seeing these boots in action, check out Barcelona v Real Betis this weekend. While you are waiting, read some more TFIU posts!!
