Aston Villa v Everton: Robbie Keane v Landon Donovan

LA Galaxy fans were able to see two of their star players battling against each other Aston Villa took on Everton.

Landon Donovan made his loan return to the Toffees. He first played for Everton in 2010 on a loan spell. Robbie Keane on the other hand never played for Aston Villa, but returned to the EPL since leaving to LA Galaxy over the summer. Donovan played a crucial role as he set up the goal for Anichebe. As for Robbie Keane, he only had about ten minutes of playing time, which is understandable because it is his first match since the end of the MLS season, where as Donovan has already played a few matches. The match ended 1-1 as Darren Bent snatched one back for the villains.

Donovan, Keane and Thierry Henry will return to MLS sides LA Galaxy and NY Red Bulls at the end of February. David Beckham might join the three in the EPL as Harry Redknapp is offering him a position on Tottenham, even if it ends up being a loan.

It is interesting to see the growth of the MLS and how these players [Donovan & Henry] are actually having a pretty good impact so far. What do you guys think about the growth of the MLS?
