The Long Awaited Clash: Manchester United v Chelsea

You might have read our posts on the Manchester United and Chelsea clash a few months ago, but probably just like us, you were shocked when it was postponed due to weather conditions. Well the game will take place tomorrow and we will have the chance to see the league leaders against last year’s defending champs.

To start off, I just need to talk about Chelsea’s low quality. They played Everton in the FA Cup and lost in penalties. Not saying Everton is bad, but Chelsea won that competition, and they definitely should have had a longer run. The reason they lost was because of, probably the most hated Chelsea player, Ashley Cole. Either this guy is an attention whore, or just sucks a football. First of all, he missed a penalty against Everton, simply because he is a bad player. Then there was the excuse that an Everton player bumped into him, and he probably lost concentration. What a load of crap. Then while he is recovering from realizing how much he sucks, he brings an air rifle to practice and shoots a Chelsea intern. Honestly, what a dumbass, he really knows how to make a name for himself. Predictably, there is an excuse here too. “He wasn’t aware that it was loaded.” Ha!

Now, I love this picture. I'm assuming on of the authors at Caught Offside made this, because there wasn't a source, so credit goes to them.
Moving on, to be honest, Chelsea doesn’t stand a chance. Their mediocre lineup won’t be able to shut down on United. Drogba, who has been so inconsistent, will might play a decent game, but I wouldn’t expect anything surprising, unless we are talking about an offside goal which he got away with last year. Torres, the biggest waste of money will continue his streak of downfall. It seemed like he was coming back to form right before he left Liverpool, but it seems to have gone back down now that he’s with Chelsea. It also seems like Chelsea’s players are all moderately injured? I’m not entirely sure, because I don’t follow them, but they definitely look like it on the pitch. What about Petr Cech? What happened? Last season, he was one of the best, but he has definitely disappointed.
Well, there you have it. A text from Twil himself, hating on his own keeper
Thanks to Evan Turiano for sharing.

United form had been unstoppable; Rooney is back in great shape, scoring goals. He is definitely in the best form this season right now. Chicharito is also playing great. He can team up with Rooney , or Nani or Berbatov to score goals. And against Wigan, Berbatov really surprised me when he came on as a sub. He dragged out the defense, but then out ran them, which is normally unlikely coming from him. The midfield is also great. Giggs and Nani work the wings magically with Fletcher and Scholes controlling the center. Carrick has been starting over Scholesy lately, but I personally don’t think he has been up to par, especially because Scholes plays defensively. Vidic is also one of the best defenders, and it takes a bad day for him to get by him, along with the rest of United defense. Lastly, VDS probably one of the best keepers ever will be tough to beat. All in all, United seem more on top of their game right now and should be able to take the win.I’m not just saying this because I’m a united fan, but I truly don’t think Chelsea will be as big a threat as they should be.
