Carling Cup: Arsenal’s trophy cabinet still dusty

Arsenal haven’t won a major trophy in the past six years, and yesterday they had a chance, but nothing changed. After making it to the Carling Cup final, they fell to Brimingham City. They obviously went into the final as favorites and had their head held high after defeating Barcelona 2-1 after going down a goal.
In the final, Arsenal went down a goal after about 30 minutes, but come back with a great goal from van Persie, but he injured himself taking the shot so he was eventually subbed off. For the rest of the game, Arsenal controlled but couldn’t get by Ben Foster. Nasri had a lot of great shots as well as Jack Wilshere, but like I said, former United keeper, Foster didn’t let up. In the last minute of regulation, Foster took a goal kick, and there was a mistake by Arsenal’s keeper and back line, leaving an open goal for Birmingham. A well deserved trophy for BCFC.
