The final score was 1 – 1, with goals from Steven Gerrard (68’) and Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (81’) De Gea was great in goal for United saving a couple great chances. Wayne Rooney, Chicharito and Nani all started on the bench which was a questionable call from Sir Alex, but he claimed they were tired from Euro Qualification and International Friendly matches. Giggs made his first EPL start this season while Gerrard just came back from injury. Liverpool pretty much controlled the game but still couldn’t take all three points. United remain first but that could change at the end of the Manchester City v Aston Villa match. More to come Later today.
