Sneijder to Man United?

Manchester United have been given the green light to bid on Dutch midfielder, Wesley Sneijder. Sir Alex Ferguson has been keen on bringing the Inter man to Old Trafford for some time, but has finally placed a £35million bid, according to Talksport. Fergie has refrained from bidding in the past because of their manager, Leonardo, but he quit for PSG. Newly appointed manager Gian Piero Gasperini agreed to consider selling the world cup runner up to the Red Devils.

United are trying to fill the likes of newly retired Paul Scholes in midfield and this could be one of the best options. There has also been talk about a possible transfer for Luka Modric or Samir Nasri, but neither are as likely. Tottenham has stated they will do anything they can to keep Modric and if they do let him go, Chelsea look like they are leading the bid. As for Nasri, a move to Manchester City seems more likely.

If this move was completed, it would be United’s fourth and probably last transfer this summer. The reds have already acquired Phil Jones (Blackburn), Ashley Young (Aston Villa) and David De Gea (Atletico Madrid). United have also sold Wes Brown and John O’Shea to Sunderland.

Who would you bid on if you were in United’s shoes, Modric, Nasri or Sneijder?
