Random Thought: Why does Robin van Persie opt to wearing the Adidas Adipower over the Predator LZ?

In recent matches (okay more like 'since the Predator LZ was released') Robin van Persie has decided to wear the previous version on the Predator, the adipower. During the ad campaigns of the LZ, RvP, along with players like Kaka, Nani and Xavi were all involved. The only way we will know for sure is if we ask him (which we might on twitter...), but I have a few idea to why he switched back to his Slime / Dark Indigo adipowers. In recent versions of the prolific football boot, weight was never an issue. I mean adidas even added weighted soles to the Absolute and Powerswerve editions. This time around, however, adidas made it goal to make a lighter predator. I think that the Man Utd & Dutch forward didn't like wearing a light weight boot or he probably would have chose the F50.

It's surprising that adidas has allowed this to happen. In the past, when a cover player for a cleats was unhappy with the current model, they changed the boot up for him. For example, when the Predator X was released, many boot enthusiasts noticed that the Predator man himself, David Beckham wore the Predator X with the sole plate of the Powerserve, allowing him to have his favorite stud configuration as well as the tungsten powder filled insole. How long will Van Persie last in his current choice of boots? Will they last until the release of the next generation, or will he search the internet for a pair of the older model? Either way, the current boots do seem to be working for him with 8 goals in 10 appearances for Manchester United...
