Being a great supporter of the
beautiful game here in the United States, it does always warm my
heart when the MLS is linked with the great leagues around the world.
As the title reads, Sporting KC's Roger
Espinoza has been rumored to sign for Wigan Athletic. The MLS season
ends next month and the 25-year-old Honduran becomes a free agent.
Apparently he has already agreed to signing for the English side once
his contract runs up. Not a bad move for the SKC midfield star.
This link between MLS and other big
footy leagues around the world has happened a handful of times, with
big names like Beckham, Henry and Cahill joining the MLS, but it
isn't common when a player leaves MLS to join a top league. Now
everyone has their own views on the MLS, but I see it as a growing
league and these sorts of communications with the rest of the world
will only benefit the league.
